Third male arrested following robbery investigation

The following is an update to media release the North Bay Police Service issued on Friday, May 5th, 2017.

Yesterday, North Bay Police arrested and charged:

Michael MacKay Matheson, aged 21, of North Bay, with:

  • one count of break, enter & commit robbery; and
  • two counts of forcible confinement;

It is alleged that on Saturday, April 29th, 2017, at approximately 3:30 a.m., the accused, James Arsenault Jackson and Shaquille Neil Sutherland entered an apartment on Fourth Avenue East, uninvited, and assaulted two male occupants. They demanded that everyone inside the apartment empty their pockets. After collecting the victims’ personal items, they left the scene. The two victms attended the North Bay Regional Health Centre to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. Sutherland and Jackson were arrested on May 4th, 2017 in relation to the incident.

Matheson was released with a court date of August 8, 2017.
