Three inmates face charges

On Sunday, following an investigation into a disturbance that occurred at the North Bay and District Jail on Wednesday March 22nd, 2017, North Bay Police charged three inmates:

Clayton Quakegesic, age 35, was charged with:

  • one count of unlawful assembly;
  • one count of mischief over $5000; and
  • one count of arson.

Randall Wabano, age 31, was charged with:

  • one count of mischief over $5000;
  • one count of arson; and
  • one count of breach of probation.

James Deveaux, age 18, was charged with:

  • one count of mischief over $5000;
  • one count of arson; and
  • one count of fail to comply with sentence.

It is alleged that the three accused caused extensive damage to the inside of the building and also started a fire from within. The Institutional Crisis Intervention Team responded and took control of the incident at the time. One guard sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
