Man charged with attempt murder
On Thursday, following an investigation into a 9-1-1 call reporting a stabbing, North Bay Police arrested and charged:
Bradley Joseph Gagnon, age 19, of North Bay, with:
- One count of attempt murder; and
- Two counts of breach of probation.
It is alleged that on Thursday, April 6th, 2017 at approximately 6:30 p.m., while the accused was at his male friend’s residential unit visiting him, he pulled out a knife he had in his possession and began to repeatedly stab him. The victim yelled for help. A neighbour heard the commotion, entered the unit, and assisted the victim in disarming the accused, who fled the scene on foot. Police located the accused on foot shortly thereafter. The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
