Single-vehicle collision leads to impaired driving charges

On Sunday, January 22nd, 2017 at 11:10 p.m., following a 9-1-1 call, North Bay Police patrol officers were dispatched to a single-vehicle collision at the intersection of Marshall Park Drive and Lakeshore Drive. Upon arrival, police located the abandoned vehicle mounted on a snow bank on the south east corner of the intersection. Police arrested the driver inside a convenience store across the road from the scene of the collision.

Following an investigation, North Bay Police charged the driver, a 34-year old North Bay man, with:

  • One count of drive while ability impaired; and
  • One count of drive with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood.

The accused was released with a court date scheduled for February 7th, 2017.
