Domestic incident leads to charges

On Saturday, following an investigation into a 9-1-1 call reporting of a domestic assault, North Bay Police arrested and charged:

A 35-year old North Bay man with:

  • One count of assault with a weapon;
  • One count of domestic mischief; and
  • Two counts of breach of recognizance.

It is alleged that on Saturday, January 21st, 2017, shortly before 5 p.m., following an argument between the accused and his former partner in a North Bay residence, the accused struck her with a broom and damaged property belonging to her. The victim did not require medical attention.

The accused, whose name the North Bay Police Service will not be releasing in the interest of protecting the identity of the victim, was held in custody for a bail hearing.
