Witnesses asked to come forward

The North Bay Police Service’s Traffic Unit is currently investigating a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian that was reported to police yesterday morning.

On Monday, October 24th, 2016 at approximately 1:15 p.m., a female pedestrian in her 60s was crossing McKeown Avenue northbound from the east side of Champlain Street at the crosswalk while the “Walk” signal was on. While she was crossing, a blue four-door car travelling south on Champlain Street struck her with the mirror of the vehicle while it was making a left turn onto McKeown Avenue, eastbound. The driver, of unknown description and travelling solo, failed to stop. The pedestrian suffered minor injuries.
