Two faces drug charges
Following an ongoing Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation that began in April 2016, officers with the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime unit arrested and charged two individuals.
April Geggie, age 27, of North Bay was charged with:
- One count of trafficking; and
- One count of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Brian Joseph Fields, age 31, of North Bay was charged with:
- One count of trafficking.
The investigation began in April 2016 when Fields attempted to sell methamphetamine pills to a man he didn’t know at the time was a North Bay Police Service Street Crime Unit officer.
Before midnight on Thursday, May 19th, 2016, police observed Geggie enter Fields’ residence on the 2000 block of Trout Lake Road and then leave the premises on foot. Police arrested her on Cassells Street a short time later.
As a result of a search of her person, police seized 195 methamphetamine pills, with an estimated street value of $1365.
She was later released from custody with a court date scheduled for July 5th, 2016.
On Tuesday June 7th, 2016, Fields turned himself in to police headquarters. He was released from custody with a court date scheduled for July 5th, 2016.
