Woman faces charges for assault and threats
Following an investigation into a number of complaints of assault and threats, the North Bay Police Service arrested and charged:
A 25-year old woman with:
- two counts of uttering threats;
- three counts of assault; and
- one count of assault causing bodily harm.
It is alleged that on a number of occasions from January to March 2016, while she was a patient, the accused assaulted four staff members of the mental health unit of the North Bay Regional Health Centre and threatened two others. Victim injuries were non-life-threatening.
The accused was arrested on Wednesday, April 19th, transported from the hospital to police headquarters and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
