North Bay man faces charges for possession and production of meth

Following an ongoing Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) investigation, initiated by the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime Unit and assisted by the Ontario Provincial Police’s Drug Enforcement Unit and its Clandestine Lab Investigative Response Team, police arrested and charged a North Bay man shortly after 7 p.m. on Monday March 14th on Lakeshore Drive.

Mathew J. G. Richards, age 30, of North Bay faces:

  • One count of production of methamphetamine; and
  • One count of possession of methamphetamine.

As a result of the investigation, which included the execution of a CDSA search warrant at the accused’s residential unit located in a motel on Delaware Avenue, North Bay Police seized:

  • drug precursors and drug paraphernalia; and
  • a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine.

The accused was released from custody with a court date scheduled for April 19th, 2016.
