Man faces charges following domestic dispute
Following an investigation into a domestic violence occurrence, North Bay Police arrested a 34-year old manat his North Bay residence yesterday, and charged him with:
- One count of assault; and
- One count of assault causing bodily harm.
It is alleged that the accused and his common-law partner had a verbal argument in their North Bay residence at about 7 p.m. on Tuesday March 29th, 2016. The argument turned violent when the accused pushed her. Observing this, the victim’s daughter intervened. The accused then turned his anger towards the daughter, physically assaulting her. Both victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and both were transported to hospital by ambulance.
The accused, whose name the North Bay Police Service is withholding in order to protect the identity of the victims, was released from custody with a court date scheduled for April 5th, 2016.
