Police seek public’s assistance in assault investigation

The North Bay Police Service seeks the public’s assistance in locating three women suspected of being involved in an assault that took place in the early morning hours of Saturday January 30th, 2016 on Norwood Avenue.

It is alleged that at about 2:30 a.m. on Saturday January 30th, two women were walking on Norwood Avenue following a night out at a nightclub on Delaware Avenue when they were approached by three unknown women, also on foot. Following a verbal exchange between the two groups of women, a woman from the group of three assaulted a woman from the group of two. In attempt to intervene to help her friend, the second woman from the group of two was also assaulted.

The three unknown females are describes as:

  • aged between 19 and 20 years old;
  • white;
  • all had brown hair of varying lengths;
  • between 5′-3″ and 5′-6″;
  • about 130 lbs; and
  • possibly at the same venue at the same time as the victims that night.

The woman who struck the first victim was wearing a white jacket with pink designs.

The two victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of this incident.
