UPDATE: Fisher Street apartment robbery
The following is an update to a media release the North Bay Police Service issued on January 13th, 2016, entitled “Three face charges for robbery.”
Shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Monday January 18th 2016, following an ongoing investigation into a report of a robbery that took place in early January in a residential unit in North Bay, North Bay Police executed a warrant for the arrest of Vicky Kathleen Simeon, age 27, of North Bay who was located on Wyld Street.
The accused, who was released from custody with a court date scheduled for March 1st, 2016, was charged with:
- One count of break, enter & commit;
- One count of pointing a firearm;
- One count of utter threats to cause death;
- One count of extortion with firearm;
- One count of robbery with firearm; and
- One count of forcible confinement.
The victims of these crimes are three males who were all roommates, living in an apartment on Fisher Street at the time.
It is alleged that sometime between January 2nd and 6th, 2016, the four accused forced their way into the apartment, exposed an alleged handgun, demanded cash, threatened the victims, and confined them to the apartment for about three hours before leaving the premises with a television and a DVD recorder belonging to the victims.
The investigation continues.
