Toronto and North Bay men face drug charges

Following an ongoing Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation that began in July 2015, a traffic stop conducted shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Thursday December 17th, 2015 on Beattie Street, and the execution of a search warrant conducted at 12:35 a.m. on Friday December 18th, 2015 at the North Bay residence of one of the accused, officers from the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime unit arrested and charged two men.

Reese Nolan Perrin, age 23 of Toronto faces:

  • One count of possession of property obtained by crime; and
  • One count of money laundering proceeds of crime.

Michael A. Allan, age 47 of North Bay faces:

  • One count of possession of property obtained by crime; and
  • Two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

As a result of this investigation, the North Bay Police Service seized:

  • 47 grams of suspected “shatter” (a concentrated form of marijuana that resembles honey or taffy, it is also known as wax, sap or budder);
  • 108.8 grams of suspected cannabis marijuana;
  • 12.3 grams of suspected cannabis resin; and
  • $17,000 in Canadian currency.

The two accused were released from custody with court dates scheduled for January 26th, 2016.
