Thefts from vehicles

Over the past week, the North Bay Police Service has received numerous complaints reporting thefts from vehicles.

These thefts have occurred in the following residential neighbourhoods:

  • Greenhill Avenue
  • Franklin Street
  • Ski Club Road
  • Willingdon Drive
  • Nottingham Drive
  • Bain Drive
  • Tupper Drive
  • Anita Avenue
  • Macbeth Crescent
  • King Henrys Court
  • Janey Avenue
  • Mapleview Place

Items stolen include:

  • debit and credit cards
  • loose change
  • wallets
  • electronic devices (laptop, Ipad, Ipod, GPS, phone charger)
  • tools
  • sunglasses
  • candy

The North Bay Police Service reminds drivers to take the extra few minutes required, especially during the busy holiday season, to remove valuable items from plain view when leaving them in parked vehicles. Always lock your vehicle wherever it is left unattended and at any time of the year.

Call 911 – If you witness suspicious activity in your neighbourhood, such as someone going from vehicle to vehicle checking door handles, call 911 immediately to report the activity to police.
