North Bay man charged with domestic assault
Following an investigation into a 911 call regarding a domestic dispute, North Bay Police arrested and charged a 56-year old North Bay man yesterday with one count of assault.
It is alleged that on Monday, September 21st, 2015, at approximately 2 p.m., following a verbal argument between the accused and his common-law partner in their shared residence, the accused physically assaulted her. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident. A second verbal argument between the two on Tuesday prompted the complainant to call 911.
Police arrested the accused at his North Bay residence. He was held in custody for a bail hearing today. In the interest of protecting the identity of the victim, the North Bay Police Service will not be releasing the name of the accused.
