53-year old West Nipissing man faces charges for drug trafficking
Following an investigation by the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime Unit, Gerald Seaborn, age 53, of West Nipissing faces:
- one count of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking; and
- one count of possession of property obtained by crime.
On Thursday 3 September 2015 at 12:24 pm, Street Crime observed the accused, who was in a vehicle parked on Oakwood Avenue at the time, enter into a suspected drug transaction with a pedestrian. Police arrested him shortly thereafter following a traffic stop on Marshall Avenue.
A search subsequent to his arrest revealed him to be in possession marijuana.
As a result of this investigation, police seized:
- 169.8 grams of marijuana with an estimated street value of $1,700; and
- $245.00 in currency.
The accused was released from custody with a court date scheduled for Tuesday 20 October 2015.
