Numerous reports of thefts from vehicles
Over the past few nights, the North Bay Police Service has received numerous reports of thefts from vehicles and damage to vehicles.
These incidents were reported to have occurred in the following areas:
• Johnston Road (three reports);
• Victoria St East;
• Perut Place;
• Guinevere Court; and
• Sable Crescent.
In some cases, bricks have been thrown through windows of vehicles to gain entry and to remove cash.

The North Bay Police Service reminds residents to remove valuable items from their vehicles when parking them and to always lock all doors. If you see suspicious activity in your neighbourhood, report it immediately to police; call 911.
North Bay man charged with assault with a weapon
Shortly after 4:30 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday June 10), at a downtown North Bay residence, an argument between two 57-year old North Bay men known to each other turned violent. North Bay Police were immediately dispatched to the residence following a report received from a witness.
Following an investigation, North Bay Police arrested and charged Randy Richard Joseph Clement, age 57 of North Bay with one count of assault with a weapon. Police also seized an edged weapon as evidence. There were no reported injuries.
The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing today.
