Weekend Occurrences

Over the weekend, North Bay Police responded to 208 calls for service, and arrested and charged 10 people with the following offences:
• One person was charged with domestic assault;
• One person was charged with assault police officer; mischief under $5000 and breach of recognizance;
• Three people were charged for breaches (recognizance, probation, undertaking);
• One person was charged with mischief under $5000 and breach of recognizance;
• One person was charged with public intoxication;
• One person was charged with mischief under $5000 and uttering threats;
• One person was charged with mischief under $5000; and
• One person was charged with impaired.

North Bay man faces domestic assault charge

Following an investigation into a report from a concerned citizen regarding a suspected assault in progress at approximately 8:45 p.m. on Sunday May 24th in a downtown apartment, North Bay Police arrested and charged a 41-year old man with one count of assault.

It is alleged that the accused, following a verbal altercation with his female partner, physically assaulted her, causing her to scream.

The accused, whose name will not be released by police in the interest of protecting the identity of the victim, was held in custody for a bail hearing.

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries as a result of this occurrence.
