Two North Bay men face charges for drug trafficking

Yesterday morning (Monday 25 May at approximately 11 a.m.), following an ongoing investigation by the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime unit, police arrested and charged two North Bay men outside, near their Princess Street West residence.

Hendrikus Vanderberg, age 27, was charged with:
• one count of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking;
• one count of possession of oxycodone; and
• one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Kye John-Dean Moore, age 19, was charged with:
• one count of possession of methamphetamine pills for the purpose of trafficking;
• one count of possession of MDMA (Ecstasy) for the purpose of trafficking; and
• one count of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Police seized a small quantity of suspected oxycodone pills, over 350 suspected methamphetamine pills, over three grams of suspected Ecstasy, 129 grams of suspected cannabis, three scales, and $350 in Canadian currency, as result of the searches conducted subsequent to the arrests. The total value of the drugs seized is estimated to be over $4500.

Both accused were released from custody with court appearances scheduled for July 21st, 2015.
