Mississauga man faces charges for drug trafficking

Yesterday evening (Tuesday 26 May at approximately 10:25 p.m.), following an ongoing investigation by the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime unit and the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant conducted at an apartment on Front Street, police arrested and charged three people.

Craig Alanzo McIntosh, age 40, of Mississauga, was charged with:
• one count of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking;
• one count of possession of hydromorphone pills for the purpose of trafficking;
• one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

McIntosh was held in custody pending a show cause bail hearing.

Police also charged a 54-year old North Bay man with one count of possession of cocaine and a 41-year old North Bay woman with one count of possession of cocaine. Both were released from custody with court appearances scheduled for July 7th, 2015.

As a result of the investigation, North Bay Police seized over 95 grams of suspected crack and powdered cocaine, five suspected Hydromorphone pills and a large bundle of Canadian currency.

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is over $14,600.
