Domestic dispute leads to charges
Shortly after 1 a.m. this morning, North Bay Police responded to a report from a concerned citizen regarding a suspected domestic dispute at a downtown residence.
As a result of the investigation, North Bay Police arrested and charged a 37-year old North Bay man with:
• Two counts of assault;
• One count of utter threats;
• One count of break, enter and commit; and
• One count of possession of property obtained by crime.
It is alleged that the accused physically assaulted and threatened his girlfriend. He is also accused of breaking into a garage at a residence on Ann Street sometime between November 2nd, 2014 at 11 p.m. and November 3rd, 2014 at 12 p.m. and stealing an air compressor, which police seized from the accused’s residence as evidence.
The accused, whose name will not be released by police in the interest of protecting the identity of the victim, was held in custody for a bail hearing.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
