North Bay man accused of robbery

On Thursday, February 19th 2015, at approximately 1:30 a.m., North Bay Police responded to a 911 call regarding a robbery that took place in a residence on O’Brien Street, north of Highway 17, North Bay. Three males, wearing balaclavas and armed with metal objects, forced their way into the house and prevented both residents from leaving. One of the two victims was assaulted, sustaining non-life threatening injuries. The three men fled the scene before police arrived.

Following an investigation and the execution of an arrest warrant yesterday at 7:40 p.m., North Bay Police charged Kevin Robert Grigsby-Squires, age 42, of North Bay with:
• two counts of robbery;
• two counts of disguise with intent;
• two counts of forcible confinement; and
• two counts of assault with a weapon.

The accused was held in custody, awaiting a bail hearing today.

North Bay Police would like to assure the public that this is not a random incident. The accused and the victims are known to each other. The investigation continues.
