Another Halloween treat with a razor blade

Following a news alert issued yesterday, the North Bay Police Service is investigating a third incident regarding a chocolate bar collected by trick-or-treater on Halloween night.

At approximately 5:14 p.m. on Thursday November 6th, a complainant contacted police regarding a chocolate bar collected by a child on Halloween night which contained a razor blade in it. The child was trick-or-treating in the area of Massey Drive, Prince Edward Drive and Thelma Avenue.

The investigation into this, and the other two incidents reported yesterday, continues.

Alert to parents
Parents are reminded to inspect all treats before allowing children to eat them. If a treat appears to have been rewrapped or tampered with, please report the incident to the North Bay Police Service at 705-497-5555.
